ABOUT

OUR MISSION RIGHT NOW

Good News Church was formed in 1986, with a small group of faithful, committed believers who met regularly every Friday to worship at a rented flat near family bookshop in Manama. We welcomed with open arms people from different nations and backgrounds. In 1997 Pastor Cedric Nazareth was ordained as Senior Pastor to lead the church. God’s faithfulness and His guiding hand was clearly evident. To accommodate its growing size the church was relocated to Majlis which is next to Al Raja School. We now meet in the Fellowship Hall at NEC compound every Friday at 3:30pm.

Along with our English service we have added three more language groups: the Ethiopian church, the Hindi church and the Eritrean church. They meet to worship on Fridays.

Over the years, many have migrated and some have returned back to their home countries with life changing experiences. We have reports of some of them serving the Lord as pastors, elders, and leaders in mission organizations reaching out to the lost and bringing healing and restoration to many.

Our aim is that when any believer leaves the Island of Bahrain, he or she is fully “Ready” to serve the Lord faithfully, wherever the Lord may take them.

We continue to pursue with passion the vision God has given to us – SALVATION and WHOLENESS through HEALING and DELIVERANCE in JESUS CHRIST. Vision verse: Isaiah 61:1 – The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and prisoners will be freed. GNC is a SANCTUARY for the Lord; a LIGHTHOUSE for the land and beyond.
